The Historic Sanctuary Tallow Balm — Lavender
Handmade Lavender Whipped Tallow Balm
Pure grass-fed tallow, organic jojoba oil, and French lavender.
Product Description
Step into a ritual of quiet restoration. Whipped by hand within the stone walls of our historic New Zealand church, this velvet-rich tallow balm bridges ancient skincare traditions with modern botanical nourishment.
Tallow is uniquely biocompatible with human skin, closely mirroring our natural lipid profile. Because it is so easily recognized and absorbed, it delivers deep, non-greasy hydration that modern plant-only oils often cannot reach alone. We render our local, grass-fed tallow down to absolute purity, then whip it into a cloud-like emulsion with golden organic jojoba oil and calming, true-to-nature lavender essential oil.
The result is a deeply comforting balm that melts instantly upon contact with the skin, soothing dry patches, calming a restless mind, and leaving a soft, botanical veil that lingers like a quiet evening in the countryside.
The Ingredients
Grass-Fed Tallow: Rendered locally for ultimate purity; rich in fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K to feed and repair the skin barrier.
Organic Jojoba Oil (Simmondsia chinensis): A lightweight, liquid wax ester that mirrors skin's natural sebum, helping the balm glide effortlessly and absorb without residue.
Lavender Essential Oil (Lavandula angustifolia): Pure steam-distilled lavender to soothe the senses, ease tension, and calm irritated skin.
How to Use
Warm a pea-sized amount between your fingertips until it transforms into a silky oil. Press gently into clean skin—ideal for face, hands, lips, or anywhere needing deep, restorative moisture. Best used as part of an evening wind-down ritual.
